Whether it's in the inner city or the 'burbs, that Calgary home was generally priced higher in February.
Calgary Real Estate Board data says the average single-family home selling price in the city hit $518,452 in February, up 10.3 per cent from a year ago. This marks the first time the price has averaged over $500,000 and reflects 1,209 sales in February and 2,317 sales in the first two months of 2013.
While single-family home prices are up dramatically from a year ago, condo-apartment prices in February averaged $287,829, a 0.4 per cent decline from 12 months ago.
Total year-to-date sales were up by about 11.3 per cent for single-family homes and 2.6 per cent for apartment condos.
