Grouse Mountain sale finalized

It's business as usual: New owners confirm there will be no changes to staff or management

North Vancouver’s Grouse Mountain Resort has been sold to a Vancouver-based investment firm for an undisclosed amount, the resort announced July 18. Operations and staff will remain the same, according to the new owners.

GM Resorts Limited Partnership (GM Resorts) has purchased the business from longtime owners Grouse Mountain Resort, helmed by the McLaughlin family for the past 40 years. GM Resorts was established by CM (Canada) Asset Management Co., Ltd. China Minsheng Investment Group is CM Canada’s international investor. 

“The opportunity to make this purchase is not something we take lightly,” said Kenny Zou, director of CM Canada, in a release. “We look forward to working closely with the existing staff, management team, and the community to ensure we maintain the Grouse Mountain experience for all of our visitors.”

Grouse Mountain’s management team with work together with new ownership to maintain ‘business as usual,’ the release states.
