Vancouver-based Real Estate Weekly (REW), Canada's largest residential real estate publication since it was founded in 1978, launches its Chinese language edition September 13. REW is a sister publication of Western Investor, Canada's largest commercial real estate publication.
"We have been working on this special Real Estate Weekly edition for months," said REW publisher Debbie McKay, who shares a Chinese heritage with an estimated 30 per cent of Lower Mainland residents. "Our new REW issue, translated into Chinese, continues our commitment to be a comprehensive source for residential real estate in the region," McKay said.
Each week, 430,000 Real Estate Weeklies are delivered to doorsteps of homeowners across the Lower Mainland from Vancouver to Chilliwack, in 13 separate community publications. As well as thousands of property listings, the REW presents news and information on the housing market.
The new Chinese language edition will be available free at more than 300 key locations with boxes at Skytrain and Canada Line stations, busy retail locations, leading grocery stores, selected retail outlets, restaurants, libraries and community recreation centres. In addition, every major real estate company in the Lower Mainland will have the new Chinese language edition of REW available in their busy offices. The Chinese edition can also be viewed through REW.CA, the online version of Real Estate Weekly.
"A Real Estate Weekly in the Chinese language would be a plus for the Chinese community and a great benefit to newcomers seeking a home in Metro Vancouver," said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., one of B.C.'s_ biggest social service agency providing services for new Canadians.
