Kelowna farm property fetches nearly $10M

A1-zoned 87-acre property includes a cherry nursery and two homes

The sale of 3330 Old Vernon Road, Kelowna, on March 19 saw the farm property fetch $9.85 million, a premium to the nearly $6.5 million when it last sold in May 2019.

DEAL | BC Tree Fruits Co-op sold 87 acres of prime agricultural land at 3330 Old Vernon Road on March 19. Jeff Hudson and Marshall McAnerney of Unison HM Commercial Realty in Kelowna brokered the deal, which includes both the A1-zoned property as well as a 15.75-acres leased cherry tree nursery and two homes. Assessed at just over $3 million and listed at $9.6 million, the sale price of $9.85 million reflects a premium over the $6.48 million at the property’s last sale in May 2019, when BC Tree Fruits purchased it for a purpose-built fruit-packing facility.
