Naramata's Foxtrot Winery sells in court-ordered sale

Sale price of nearly $1.8 million fell short of more than $11 million in debts

DEAL | Silhouette Cellars Ltd. has acquired Foxtrot Vineyards, an estate winery at 1201 Gawne Rd., Naramata, known for its award-winning Pinot Noir. The 8.4-acre property with AG1 zoning and business assets were listed with Ian Watson, Avery Watson and Trish Power of Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty on Sept. 20, 2024, by PriceWaterHouseCoopers Inc. in its capacity as Foxtrot’s court-appointed receiver. The property was listed with $2,933,199 of secured debt and $8,191,189 of unsecured debt. The assets sold through a court-ordered sale on Dec. 18, 2024. Paul Hague and Nicole Eastman of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada successfully represented Silhouette Cellars in the bid process. The property and all business assets sold for $1,775,000. Their buyer looks forward to reviving the winery and continuing to produce spectacular wine.
